Above Ground Anything 3 levels of cobbles (or 5 levels of cobbles for mountain areas) is counted as above ground. You are first spawned in a plains area, with a small mountain range to the west - with what appears to be a cave half way up, a village to the south. There are numerous small lakes |

Underground Anything below 3 cobbles (or 5 in mountain areas) is counted as underground, look out for abandoned mineshafts - and don't forget to ensure that you keep things lit! |
