Newbie Island is a optional location new characters can jump to first. This island has very weak mobs - aka limited to only a few zombie mobs - and you can request help from Woodward Stack if you're stuck. He will also occasionally pop up in a thread to suggest your next action, or even give random items to help. These items can be saved and reused in the main world.
Finally finishing newbie island will grant you a chest with basic supplies in it! A portal will also open to the main world.
