For those unsure about this here is a list of mods I'd be planning to use
Pixelmon - brings Pokemon into the world of Minecraft
Buildcraft
Progressive Automation
Tinkerers Construct (all those 3 bring in technology)
Thaumaturgy (Magic)
Sanguimancy (Blood Magic)
Infernal Mobs (Harder mobs sometimes spawn with status effects)
Industrialcraft 2 (More tech!)
Pams HarvestCraft
Chococraft (CHOCOBOS!)
I might add more to this list but that is in the future
